Zamenhof, Ludwik Lejzer incontra il Naga a Milano fuori dal borgo di Porta Ticinese, laddove la saggezza filantropica che un tempo governava la città gli ha dedicato una via.

I luoghi della medicina erano un tempo di bianco smaltati, al contrario diamo qui conto di una realtà non istituzionale, disponibile e serena ad esser fatta propria da identità molte.Il corridoio delle terre che distribuisce gli ambulatori e le stanze per i colloqui. In questo luogo, le terre – plurali – sono quelle distanti che si sono lasciate insieme ai loro colori. Ma sono anche quei toni che servirono a Le Corbusier per quel suo clavicembalo cromatico (a suscitare – per via di euritmia e bellezza – rappacificati stati d’animo). In fondo al corridoio gli Angeli ribelli di Osvaldo Licini, colti nell’attimo in cui escono dal mare, testimonianza dell’impazienza dei poeti in tempi intolleranti.
Per gli spazi di attesa portiamo avanti un’idea di E.G. Asplund, maestro nell’arte dell’appropriatezza. Ecco la panchina da conversazione, affettuosa e garbata. Nella città della moda e del design – che era cosi da bere da essersi bevuta anche l’anima solidale – dove le sedie oramai si chiamano (im)pudicamente “sedute”, brevettiamo questa panchina e la chiamiamo semplicemente NAGA: se qualcuno vorrà produrla verserà le royalties al Naga, appunto.

Milan, where Kusturica’s Gypsies can be found. Zamenhof, Ludwik Lejzer meets Naga in Milan just outside the Porta Ticinese district, where the philanthropic wisdom which once governed the city has named a street after him. The Naga in via Zamenhof, association for the rights of foreigners and nomads. A troublesome subject of our times. Medical places were once white enamelled, but here we open up a reality which is not institutional, it is open and calm, made up of different identities. The ground floor corridor, from which the interview rooms and the clinics lead off, is reminiscent of the colours and lands left behind. The same colours that Le Corbusier needed for his chromatic harpsichord which through its harmony and beauty created a peaceful state of mind. At the end of this corridor, the Rebel Angels by Osvaldo Licini, in the moment when they emerge from the sea, testimony to the impatience of poets in times of intolerance. In the waiting areas, we have taken on an idea of E.G. Asplund, master of the art of pertinence. The conversation bench, tender and gentle. In the city of Fashion and Design– which seemes to have lost its social conscience – we have patented this bench and called it simply NAGA: if someone wants to produce it they will have to pay the royalties to Naga. In the basement, hidden almost from view, a backdrop of deep blue.
