A house behind the hills, hidden at the end of the road coming from Casteggio, gradually rising. At a bend, the old country house ends the long journey of the  strada Madonna. Just further up, between the vineyards, the old farmhouse buildings that the project will renovate, giving it back its pergola onto the courtyard facing the countryside and reusing all the parts of the existing building which have been jealously conserved, the doors, the stones, the old paintwork. Objects and tools for the house have been taken from elsewhere and here brought back to life. The house has been renewed in an affectionate way, considering the position and the passing of time, here marked by the shadows of trees and by the seasons which change the colours of the plaster and the shade. The Oltrepò hills are our materials for construction, in fact we didn’t hesitate to mix the cement for the pergola with the green colour of the vines. Now the wisteria has grown on the beams put in place for it. Happiness, thin wires and some shade.
